130- MIRROR IMPACT TEST

The Mirror Impact Test is designed to assess the safety and durability of mirror glass under impact. This test ensures compliance with industry standards for mirror safety, particularly in consumer environments like furniture or bathroom installations.

Test Specifications

  • Mirror Dimensions: 500 x 500 mm

  • Ball Weight: 2 kg (steel)

  • String Length: 1000 mm

  • Pendulum Attachment: Adjustable in 6 steps for varying test distances

 

Test Procedure

  • Weigh the mirror sample.

  • Position the mirror so the steel ball targets the center.

  • Raise the ball to a 90º angle relative to the mirror.

  • Release the ball to conduct the impact.

 

Evaluation Method

  • Post-test, calculate the surface area of the mirror that remains attached to the safety foil.
